Day Trips by Canoe: There’s no better way to experience the
wilderness than with paddle in hand. We’re surrounded by miles of easy
to moderate “canoe country” routes that can be accomplished in a day.
Just pack your camera, a fishing pole, and a picnic lunch. We’ll help you
choose a route to meet your interests and even provide car-carriers for
your canoe. BWCAW entry permits for day trips are FREE.
Hiking Trails: Within a few miles of the resort, there are exceptional
hiking trails to explore. The Bass Lake trail features a scenic waterfall.
Berry picking, bird-watching, and the occasional glimpse of wildlife are
among the features of the Big Moose Loops, North Arm, North Junction,
Angleworm, Fenske, Echo, and Sioux-Hustler trail systems.
Summertime Resort Activities: Join us Sunday mornings for
a complimentary brunch of freshly-baked donuts, a review of our planned resort
activities, and an informative seminar on fishing conditions and “hot spots”.
One night is set aside for a complimentary resort-wide BBQ cookout.
This is a good time to get together, sample some great food,
meet people from all over the country and make new friends.
Our naturalist programs scheduled throughout the week are for
the young and the young-at-heart. Nature hikes, craft classes and
family movie night are just a few examples of activities available
here free of charge.
Special classes, such as basket weaving, bracelet beading and
t-shirt personalization, are offered at a small additional fee.
