With 14 wilderness islands and miles of beautiful shoreline, Big Lake is exceptionally scenic. Two of the islands in the Superior National Forest, Spirit and Loon, offer fully equipped base tent camps. Each camp has a huge, two-bedroom cabin-style tent complete with comfortable cots, pads, cozy sleeping bags and pillows. There’s also a picnic table in a screened gazebo, and a chuckwagon containing all the cooking and eating utensils you’ll need: propane cookstove, Weber grill, and large cooler. Free ice, firewood and fresh water are delivered daily to your campsite. We’ll shuttle your party to the islands and pick you up after your stay. Aluminum canoes come free of charge. A dock at each island is available for personal boats or rental boats (2 maximum per site). Plus, you’ll enjoy all the amenities of Big Lake Wilderness Lodge, including naturalist programs, free use of paddleboats and kayaks, swim raft, sauna and showers.| RATES | Summer: June 7-August 15 Value Days: May 9-June 6; August 16-October | Island Tent Camps | Summer Weekly
